Young Students
Young kids are so uncensored in everything they do. They paint what they feel and what they see in their imaginations. If you let a child follow her heart as she paintsand not just “the directions”, you will be amazed . They are free and uninhibited in their ideas and creations and that makes them a joy to work with. When you’re feeling stuck, go ask a child. I guarantee he will have a uniquely brilliant way of seeing things and you just may get the answer you were looking for — just not in the way you thought you’d find it.
I started my teaching career over 11 years ago with very young children — 18 months and up. I can honestly say they are an inspiration and a joy to watch as they experiment and play. We can learn more than we’d ever expect to learn simply by watching the way kids approach everything in life. I hope to always see my own work through the eyes of a child.
