Teen Painting

Last week three amazing teen artists were in studio with me for an acrylic painting class.

They were all great sports and created cool paintings.

The “assignment” was to paint negative space — meaning the area behind what the focal point is. It’s a tricky and sometimes frustrating concept, but these guys hung in there. Isn’t their work great?? You can see close-ups in the Student Gallery section of this site.

Fun In The Heat

Yesterday I had nine great kids at my studio for a three-hour mask making class. They ranged in age from 8 to about 14. They learned how to design and create a mask from plaster strips and the decorated it.
